I understand why people like it, but as a Burnout fan I didn't care for it. The cars felt heavier and I guess more lifelike. Hot Pursuit, I didn't care for how it controlled. It's a shame because it drives like a dream, and the sense of speed is pretty good when you really get going at a clip. Feels like the gameplay flow is unfinished honestly. The online problems (hard to play with Friends, host migration problems, etc) only bring it own further. I also think the campaign is by far the weakest of the three. It feels like you never get into the flow of racing. Rivals has an even better driving model, but I can't stand the gadget combat that this game and Hot Pursuit has. It also has amazing online play, something which Rivals really dropped the ball on. The events weren't always great but the driving model was fantastic, and I enjoyed exploring the city and finding the secrets. Most Wanted feels the closest I'll get to another Burnout sequel. I will go against the grain with this one.Īs a big Burnout fan who only started playing NFS again when Criterion started making them, this is how I turned out.
